Then a couple days ago I came home and was delighted to see... blooms!
Aaah, the little bits of happiness to tide us over until real Spring! I'm really looking forward to the amaryllis-- I've never grown one before! But the paperwhites are delightful.
And I got a couple more batches of beautiful flowers today: seed packets I ordered from Seed Savers:

Smart man, getting the flowers before all the good ones are sold out for Valentine's Day! I hope you're finding little bits of Springtime to get you through these LAST days of winter! Don't let the below freezing temperatures and gigantic piles of snow fool you... Spring is on it's way, and you'll be sitting out on your porch drinking sweet tea surrounding by blooming petunias before you know it!

ReplyDeleteI just today told someone that we may still have some bitter temperatures and more snowfall in the next few weeks, but that Spring was right around the corner. I can hardly wait!
